Barbara Crispin

Barbara Crispin grew up in the farm country of central Maryland. She is a middle child in a family of nine. Her interest in picture books was evident early on.

“My father thought I was an early reader. When I was four, I memorized ‘This Is The House That Jack Built’ including the proper page turns and read it to my younger sisters.”

Barbara is still reading to others as a library associate happily planning story times and children’s reader advisory lists for Anne Arundel County Public Library in Maryland.

Member of the Authors Guild, SCBWI, Publishers Marketing Association and SPAN.

Graduate of Towson State University, Towson, MD and Institute of Children's Literature.
